MARISA
ARBONA RUIZ
Owner and President
Writer, Producer, Director,
Narrator, Songwriter
Marisa
is a multitalented, award-winning communicator with more than a
decade of expertise covering documentary, news, entertainment, live
events, programming, commercials and health promotions, for both
English- and Spanish-language markets. Her versatility ranges from
producing, directing, and scriptwriting to narrating and writing
theme songs. She has a warm and resonant voice used for video production
and live event announcing. |

Marisa
loves the hot seat, and plans, executes and manages projects with creative
vision, leadership and an eye for detail. She has traveled worldwide
and is skilled at working with diverse populations, especially with
Latinos and Native Americans. Marisa began her career as a performing
singer/songwriter and illustrator, and uses these talents to enhance
her productions. One of her songs is featured on a National Cancer Institute
video. Her production work has been broadcast on NBC and FOX affiliates,
Discovery, Univision and Telemundo.
Marisa has a natural prowess at developing strategies and materials
for social marketing campaigns, and often assists agencies of the National
Institutes of Health. She motivates, inspires and touches the heart.
She is known for her keen sensitivities and natural ease to understand
and connect with people from all walks of life. Often called upon for
important, yet delicate projects, Marisa was the lead producer and stage
director for the massive, national memorial service for the fallen firefighters
of 2001, largely from the 9-11 attacks on the World Trade Center. She
also wrote and produced a Department of Justice video on human trafficking
and sex slavery; and a piece following migrant farmworkers for the Academy
for Educational Development.
Marisa
served on the executive board of Women In Film & Video of DC (1999-2003)
and as Vice-Chair of Communications for Women In Film & Television
International, (2001-2003) a global network of 10,000 professionals.

Investigative Reporter
Mari's
career as a producer, researcher and investigative reporter
spans more than twenty years of broadcast experience in an
environment where
fearlessness, tenacity and details matter most. Her work includes
producing unique cross-cultural projects both domestically
and internationally, and working as a senior producer and
project manager for an international production company, as
an investigative reporter/producer for two of Peru's highest
rated TV news magazine programs (nominated for the Peruvian
CIRCE award, equivalent to the US Emmy) and as a producer/researcher
at SAIS, Johns Hopkins University. |

Mari
gained valuable international experience by working for the following
organizations and traveling the world on assignment: International
Monetary Fund, Johns Hopkins University, SAIS, and the Inter-American
Development Bank. Mari‚s rich cultural background blends her
Peruvian heritage with years of living in Peru, Italy and the U.S.,
and gives her a unique edge in program content development, story
development and documentation. She is currently working on two IMAX
films with Duncan Entertainment with settings in Latin America.

Brooks has excelled for two decades as an accomplished production
leader in the Baltimore-Washington, DC area. Former owner
of Big Shot Productions, a full-service production and post
facility, he has extensive experience in production both domestically
and internationally. |

air and underwater expeditions to the Moche Indian pyramids of Peru,
Brooks has covered the earth and sky to capture the images and stories
of the world we live in - places, creatures and people from all
walks of life. From senior editor to executive producer, he has
also executed all facets of production covering feature film, documentary,
television programming, live production, digital multimedia, and
commercials. Brooks' rich and distinctive voice ranges from warm
and friendly to serious and convincing. He has covered documentary
specials and promos for Discovery Channel, as well as corporate
work.
Brooks
and his production teams have continuously garnered multiple Emmy,
Telly and other awards for creative and technically outstanding
work. He executive produced and provided production for "Divine
Trash" a documentary about John Waters, that won the coveted
Filmmakers Award from the Sundance Film Festival documentary competition
and the International Monetary Award for Best Achievement in a documentary.

RALF
OBERTI
Director of Photography, Editor
Ralf
is an award-winning, international cinematographer, who has been
shooting film and video for more than sixteen years. He has shot
for different clients in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America,
across the U.S., and Antarctica. Ralf's skill and spirit of adventure
have also led him to become a member of the first South American
TV crew to climb the highest point of the Americas, the "Aconcagua,"
and later a member of the first Chilean team to climb "K-2"
in the Himalayas. Ralf's work on “Cuba Mia,” a documentary
filmed entirely in Havana, Cuba, won him a Best Cinematography
Award from the New York Independent Film and Video Festival. Directed
by Cecilia Domeyko, it is slated for broadcast on PBS. |

Ralf
has recently completed filming and editing for interactive video
kiosks and permanent video wall exhibits at the Smithsonian's new
National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI). He is currently filming
a documentary for French Television (ARTE channel) in New York and
Los Angeles. Ralf previously served for many years as director of
photography and co-editor of the award-winning Chilean documentary
series, "Al Sur del Mundo." He later filmed and edited
“Visiones,” a cultural program that ran on Chilean television
for ten years. Ralf transitioned to screen-based media after studying
and working in the management field. He holds a B.A. in Film and
Television from the University of Oregon.

HILLARY
HOWARD
Broadcast Talent, Narrator, Writer
Hillary
is an Emmy award winning broadcast talent who brings comfort,
sensitivity and humor to even the most technical material. Her
authoritative and conversational style work splendidly for narrations,
on-camera hosting and interviews. She also brings great skill
and ease to any live or unscripted situation.
Besides
her strength as talent, Hillary is an Emmy award-winning reporter
and writer who brings twenty-plus years of experience to each
story. As a reporter and anchor at Washington, DC's FOX-owned
station, Hillary covered a wide array of stories from a feature
on old slave narratives to in-depth examinations of the health
industry and the environment. Her piece on a catastrophic fish
kill in Maryland placed as a "finalist" in the prestigious
New York TV and Film Festivals.
Hillary's
breadth of experience in television makes her uniquely qualified
to media train, produce and write for broadcast as well as live
events. Her insight and ability to distill the most difficult
material make her a strong and powerful speechwriter able to
intimately connect with an audience. Her skill in front of the
camera can turn ordinary projects compelling. Her clear, crisp
and warm voice is familiar in the Washington metropolitan area
and an asset to any production.

LUCIENNE LOPEZ
LOMAN
Social Marketing Specialist, Writer, Translator
Lucienne is a bilingual,
social marketing communications specialist with more than a decade
of experience in health promotions and media and political campaigns.
She writes, provides Spanish translation, and develops communications
strategies for both national English- and Spanish-language projects.
Lucienne has worked on numerous health campaigns for clients such
as The Agency for Health Care Policy and Research, for whom she
executed materials development, national media promotion and focus
group testing, and developed twenty patient guidelines for conditions
such as depression, AIDS, cancer, etc. She has also worked on television
spots for Time Life International and documentaries. Driven by her
passion for improving the lives of Hispanics, Lucienne has covered
a wide range of important issues such as education and training
programs, health, work training and political campaigns.
Born in Mexico City, Mexico, Lucienne grew
up two houses away from the famous "Casa Azul" home of
reknowned artists Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. She was raised in
an environment of international travel, intellectual challenge and
social minded professionals brought to her life by her father, one
of Mexico's first psychiatrists. Her own quest led to earning a
Masters Degree in Communication for Development from American University,
in Washington, DC. Lucienne began her career as an assignment editor
for the Univision television affiliate in San Antonio, TX. She returned
to Washington, and worked for the National Association of Hispanic
Journalists and a health communications firm.

RAQUEL
HALSEY ARBONA
Production Coordinator and Voice Talent
Raquel
is a dynamic, young professional who began amassing production,
political and business experience at the age of 14, when she
became summer help at the Women In Film & Video office
in Washington, DC and also assisted with news coverage of
the American Indian Inaugural Ball. She has since worked on
various types of productions including documentary, PSAs and
live events. She recently completed an internship for Congressman
Wynn, assisting with community outreach. She balances college
with production projects and provides assistant management.
In her "spare time" Raquel can be seen modeling
and on the set as an extra.

JAMES ARBONA
Editor, New York City
James is a talented, team
spirited video editor for ArbonaWorks projects in New York. His experience
spans more than a decade of working for both broadcast and corporate
film and video production. He has served as a producer, director, cameraman
and video editor for clients that include several Fortune 500 companies
such as Sony, General Mills, Johnson & Johnson, and Searle/Pfizer.
A marathon runner and basketball athlete, he has mentored thousands
of diverse, urban youth and made possible the creation of a popular
summer basketball league and camp in the city. Recognizing the need
for positive role models and encouragement, James founded Speed of Light
Productions, Inc., an "edutainment" company created with the
primary objective of teaching essential life skills to young people,
through entertaining, educational media projects.
